The ‘BOOKWORM’ programme is designed to align with the broader theme of SCOLAR’s English Alliance theme ‘Authentic and Creative use of English’.

This programme is designed to develop composition, communication, and creative expression through bookmaking with a STEAM-paired story theme and its related language arts activities encompassing reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary building, and interactive games.

The objectives of this programme are:

1. To promote language learning skills through blended teaching and learning strategies that promote student engagement in using English language in a purposeful manner both within and outside classrooms;
2. To develop reading, writing, speaking, comprehending and using English phrases and sentences for effective communication in in a variety of situations;
3. To inculcate positive values and attitude in learning and application of English language and to create language-rich environment encompassing learning diversity;
4. To motivate independent learning through in-lesson projects and post-lesson digital language learning activities; and
5. To provide a flexible and fun-filled language learning opportunity for students to explore, enrich and expand their language horizon.
